How much does a colour analysis cost?

Have you ever wondered how the right colour could transform not just your wardrobe but your entire vibe? Well, you're in the right place! As you gear up for the exciting journey of getting your colours analysed, one burning question lingers โ€“ how much does it actually cost?

In this blog, I'm spilling the beans on the ins and outs of colour analysis pricing. Whether you're diving into the online colour analysis or planning an in-person experience, I've got the lowdown on what to expect, what to watch out for, and how to ensure you're getting the real deal.

Colour Analysis Price

I want to preface this by saying that these prices are from January 2024 in AUD pricing. Let's begin by looking at the price range of online/virtual colour analysis options.

Online Colour Analysis Price

As you can see, the most affordable is Fiverr, with prices on average $24. The risk with many of these more affordable analysts is that you cannot guarantee you have a certified consultant (beware when they make claims, ask for proof of their certification, and ensure their training centre is certified by the AICI).

I also noted that many looked to be using a generic template for results. However, because I have not worked directly with these consultants, I cannot confirm if that is the case for each of them; however, judging from the images they have provided, it looked like they offered basic colour analysis service, which is perfect for those on a tight budget.

Fiverr offered many low-cost colour analysis solutions, but your risk the legitimacy of the consultant.

On the other end of the spectrum, I found one online consultant who charged $330 for an online colour analysis. They include everything you would expect from a colour analysis; however, they did have a live Zoom call that some others did not provide. I also like that they also sent you a booklet afterwards.

Many of the colour analyst who offered online/virtual colour analysis services appeared to be professional trained and highly experienced. Therefore I would recommend any of these independent consultants if you would like to do a colour analysis. A quick search on google will be able to share with you many of these consultants.

I found the sweet spot for our clients was providing our high-quality online colour analysis package that had the perks of a live session, but rather than charging a higher premium to attend live; I recorded the entire colour process to help you see how I came to the results I provided. This is a fantastic solution if you're too busy to book a Zoom call but still want the benefits of colour analysis. As a bonus, we send all our online colour analysis clients a handy wallet-sized colour swatch card to help them out while shopping. We so also offer a live Zoom session to those who would like more Q&A after the analysis; however, this comes at a higher charge. Currently our online colour analysis price is $149-$199.

In-Personal Colour Analysis Price

Next, we have the price for in-person colour analysis sessions across Australia. During my research, I found that the price was consistent across the major cities. Here are the results:

Again, it is a broad spectrum of pricing, as we saw with the online colour analysis. As you can see, the most affordable solution was $149, and the most expensive was $399.

Now, I did consider the length of the analysis; some were 1 hour and others went up to 3 hours; however, interestingly, the length of the consultation was NOT correlated with price (the most expensive was 1.5 hrs). So, just because you spent the most doesn't mean you get the most extended session.

It was also interesting to note the various types of systems used; for example, there were the 12-colour seasons, the 16-colour seasons, Armocromia, the Korean method and more. I recommend doing some research into which method you would feel most aligned to.

Ultimately, all of the colour consultants had the same objective which is helping you discover your best colours.

At Colour Capsule, we use the International Image Institute 16-colour season system as it is a highly reliable and reputable system known globally and has also been approved by the AICI. Our pricing is perfect for almost every budget, and we guarantee that you are going to be extremely happy with your results. Our price ranges from $199-$249 for an in-person colour analysis in Sydney.
